Client Safety Tip:   Any Virginia stylist offering to provide eyelash extensions is legally required to be a licensed Esthetician, Cosmotologist or Medical professional. If you're considering trying eyelash extensions, please ensure your stylist is a licensed professional. Ask to see their DPOR issued VA license... NOT only a certificate.

This also goes for Microblading, Ombre Brows, & Microshading. According to Virginia occupational standards, anyone offering these tattoo type services are required to have a Permanent Makeup License, not just a certification. Any stylist telling potential clients they're 'certifed' simply means they are not licensed or legally authorized to offer this service.
