How is the Plasma Lift Treatment Performed?

The Plasma treatment here in Virginia Beach, VA uses an electrical tool with a tiny accupuncture needle at the tip that utilizes ionized gas in the air to create plasma. The needle never touches the skin, but generates plasma from a tiny arc that stimulates the epidermal layer of the skin, which then signals there was trauma. The skin's natural functions and defense signals that area to be healed.

When the plasma – touches the skin surface, heat generated is transferred into the epidermis all the way to the papillary layer which contains fibroblast cells. The result is a contraction and tightening of the skin cells. The result of this contraction is the excess skin is reduced and the result is comparable to lifting, rejuvenation or wrinkle reduction.

Does the Treatment Hurt?

Each area to be treated is covered with a topical anesthetic to lessen discomfort. Everyone tolerates the treatment differently, but most say it feels like pops of a small rubber band.

How long is the treatment session?

Depending on the areas that we are treating the numbing step takes about 25-30 minutes, (Or you can arrive with numbing cream in place already) and the treatment takes another 60-90 minutes. Typically around an hour and a half to 2 hours is recommended.

Is the Plasma Treatment right for me?

The Plasma Treatment is not a good fit for you, if your skin hyper or hypo pigments with injury. If when you get a blemish

your skin leaves a dark or light mark, you may not be a good candidate for the service.

How do I take care of my skin afterwards?

Your aftercare plan will be discussed before your treatment during your consultation, and you will be given everything you need to take care of your treatment areas. Immediately after your treatment you skin may be red, tender and swollen. Swelling may persist for up to 3 days. The small carbon dots on the treated area will release from your skin between day 5 and 10 depending on the area treated. Tummies tend to take a little longer than areas on the face.

What are possible side effects?

Possible side effects are inflammation, scarring or minor change in skin pigmentation, these are very rare, but must be understood before deciding to move forward. It is also very important that you follow the after care instructions closely, for absolute best results.

Aftercare

Aftercare is one of the most important parts of the treatment. Each client has to follow the instructions for aftercare closely to achieve the best possible results:

·Do not pick carbon dots off they will fall off in a few days

·Clean the treated area with gently antiseptic cleanser twice a day.

·After the treatment continue applying the aftercare cream on the treated area as long as it is sensitive or when you are exposed to sun, as it contains SPF and protects the treated area.

·Avoid sauna, pools, the ocean or any kind of direct skin contact or exposure which present risk for infection of the treated area

·Make sure to protect the treated area from direct sun until the skin is completely regenerated (2–3 weeks).

·Do not apply products containing alcohol or other scents.

·Until the crusts fall off, you may apply colloidal silver to prevent inflammation.

Are results visible immediately?

Results are visible immediately after the treatment, but maximum results will be visible after 3–4 weeks when the skin enters the third phase of the healing – collagen and connective tissue growth. So, initial results are visible immediately, but the end results follow 3–4 weeks after the treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on the state of  your skin and the desired degree of correction. Most clients are satisfied after only one treatment.  But if the wrinkles are deep or correction is extensive you might opt for two or even three treatments to achieve the best result. The procedure may be repeated after the skin is fully regenerated  6–8 weeks after the procedure.

How long do results last?

The results of the Plasma treatment are permanent and may be visible for years. But as we understand the aging process is continuous and thus the skin ages every day after the procedure and this cannot be stopped. The results of this method are permanent, but when we refer to mimic facial lines (worry lines) these may recur quickly because muscles are stronger than the skin and consequently the lines do eventually return.

Average results last from 3-4 years

Can I still get Botox if I get the Firbroblast Treatment?

We recommend waiting at least 6 weeks after Botox before receiving a Fibroblast treatment. Or waiting 6 weeks after having the Fibroblast treatment to get any facial Botox injections, if they are in the same facial region.
